Step Out In Emunah…Faith!

How do you activate emunah, or your faith?

What is emunah? It’s the Hebrew term for faith. As you learn to trust in God, your first step requires you to let go of all fear and surrender to His embrace.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” (Hebrews 11:1-2 [NKJV]).

The phrase “elders” appears in the latter verse and in Chapter 14 of my book, “What’s in My Book: Ascending from Everlasting Destruction to Eternal Life.” It explains how biblical characters, based on their situations, acted on their faith (emunah). Note, this does not disqualify individuals still in their youth. Faith activation happens at all stages of life.

According to page 72, the book highlights that elders in the Holy Bible, such as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Mary, and Salome, demonstrated extraordinary faith. The text also notes that Salome followed Jesus and ministered to Him in Galilee. Truth be told, if you don’t have strong faith, not just some, but strong faith in God, you’re not exercising the true potential to tap into your reward of discernment. Each individual received great blessings and favor because they pleased God with their faith.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6 [NKJV]).

In today’s world, do you believe mankind is diligently seeking God with faith? Or are we caught up in other beliefs like faith in the universe amongst other idolatry? One thing for sure, the year of 2020 and beyond has and will test the faith of every living being here on earth. Once again, you don’t have to hear my words. It is written in God’s book.

The world will continue to experience great sorrow, confusion, corruption, anger, hatred, sickness, and most of all death. Why? Earth is the devil’s hood. He has the authority to initiate and indoctrinate those who are lacking and without strong faith in God. If you are one of many people who stopped having faith in God due to the passing of a loved one, loss of a business, job, home, and material possessions, allow me to encourage you.

Right now, I’m going to ask you to stop, take a moment, and breathe.

Close your eyes and recall the faithful elders covered at the beginning of this chapter. Understand, in order to ascend from everlasting damnation to eternal life with the Father, Spiritual healing must take place. Furthermore, it’s during these times of feeling like we’re in the wilderness all alone that God tests our faith. He wants us to add to our faith virtue, be patient, persevere, repent of our sins, and wait on Him.

Allow me to encourage you with this scripture. “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sin, he will be forgiven” (James 5:15 [NKJV]).

Before I close on this chapter, I’d like to give you a prayer assignment. God tells us to ask Him for what we need. So, ask the Holy Spirit (the Helper, Comforter, Messenger) to help you “activate your measure of faith” through Christ Jesus. For “…God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3 [NKJV]). To bring it home, ask it in Christ Jesus’ name. That’s right because a measure of faith exists within everyone on Earth.

What you just read was a sample of how I stepped out on faith to publish my book. It’s not a bestseller, but the sacrifice and reward has brought me unspeakable joy. Therefore, progress begins with just a small measure of faith. Release your troubles and find encouragement.

What to think about before acting on faith.

You will be tested by God. Don’t be afraid, step out!

You will have to sacrifice something. Leaving a job, changing friends, or isolating yourself to clearly hear His voice. Read (Romans 10:17 [NKJV]).

Once God has spoken clearly to you, trust His word and step out on faith.

Understand the trying of your new found faith worketh patience. (James 1:3 [NKJV]).
